મિત્રો,
          Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board દ્વારા ગુજરાતની ગ્રાન્ટેડ શાળાઓમાં કેન્દ્રિય ભરતી પદ્ધતિ દ્વારા  મા. અને ઉ.મા. ના શિક્ષકોની અને આચાર્યોની ભરતી પ્રક્રિયા હાથ ધરવામાં આવી હતી.     તા 02/03/12 ના રોજ યોજાયેલા આચાર્ય  ભરતી કેમ્પમાં નિમણુક પામેલા ઉમેદવારોને શાળા સંચાલક મંડળો  હાજર કરતા ન હતા જેની પ્રક્રિયાના ભાગરૂપે DEO કચેરી વડોદરાએ કેમ્પનું આયોજન કરીને 10 જેટલા આચાર્યોને હાજર કરવાની સફળતા મેળવીછે. કચેરીનું કામગીરી પ્રસંશનીય  છે.
વિદ્યાર્થી અને  શિક્ષણના હિતને દયાનમાં રાખીને આચાર્યો ને હાજર કરનાર મંડળો ધન્યવાદને પાત્ર છે.  આચાર્ય વિનાની શાળાએ સુકાની વિનાની નાવ જેવી છે.
           મિત્રો, સાથે ખુશ ખબર પણ  છે કે આચાર્ય તરીકે મારી પસંદગી વડોદરા શહેરની મધ્યમાં આવેલી શ્રી સયાજી હાઈસ્કૂલ, માંડવી માં થઇ હતી. શ્રી જુમ્મેદાર મંડળના શિક્ષણપ્રેમી સભ્યોના સઘન પ્રયાસોથી મને પણ શાળા માં હાજર થવાનો નિમણુક પત્ર પાઠવી દેવામાં આવેલ છે. સન 1906 માં સ્થપાયેલી આ શાળાનો ઈતિહાસ ગૌરવપૂર્ણ રહ્યો છે. અને આ શાળાના સુકાની તરીકેની મારી નિમણુક થી હું ગૌરવ અનુભવું છું. મારી આચાર્ય તરીકેની નિયુક્તિ કરવા બદલ હું શાળાસંચાલક મંડળનો  હું હંમેશા  આભારી રહીશ.

The District Education Office Vadodara has organised a camp in relation to the appointment of the candidates who have Passed the Exam. TAT and selected but not appointed as the principals . 

The Camp is on Friday -03/08/12 at Conference Hall, Rosary School,  Fategunj.

વડોદરા જીલ્લા માં ફાજલ શિક્ષકોને સમાવવાની કામગીરી શરુ થઇ ગઈ છે. કેટલાક  શિક્ષકો ને શાળામાં હાજર થવા માટે ના ઓર્ડર થઇ ચુક્યા છે જ્યારે ઘણા શિક્ષકમિત્રો કે જેમણે અપર પ્રાઇમરી ના ઓપ્સન સ્વીકારેલ છે તેમના ઓર્ડર પેન્ડીંગ છે.

કેટલીક શાળાઓ ને ખાલીજગ્યા ના વિષયને અનુરૂપ શિક્ષક ના મળતા જે તે વિષયના  શિક્ષણ પર અસર થવાના ડરથી  ફાજલ શિક્ષકોને હાજર કરવામાટે અવઢવમાં છે. એકવાર વિષય વિનાના ફાજલ શિક્ષકને હાજર કર્યા પછી ખાલીજગ્યા ના વિષયનીશિક્ષક ભરતી ના અભાવે શિક્ષણ પર લાંબા ગાળાની અસર પડી શકે છે.

Following tools and techniques can be used by the teachers of English and others while conducting the Formative Assessments in the classroom. 

Suggested Tools for Formative Assessment

Language

• Listening Comprehension
• Reading Comprehension
• Debate/ speech/ Group Discussion/ Role Play /Presentation
• Dramatization/ Dialogue/ Conversation/ Commentary
• MCQs/ Quiz
• Grammar Exercises.
• Writing/ Completing a poem, story, script, play, diary entry etc.
• Web Charts, Concept Mapping
• Visual Representation
• Letter, E-mail, data interpretation, article, bio sketch and dialogue completion

It is suggested that at least one out of four tasks should be used for assessing convesation skills in the form of listening comprehension or convesation.

Procedure for Formative Assessments

• The suggested split up of syllabi will be followed by teachers for formative assessment.
• The minimum number of formative assessment tasks as suggested in the annual plan have to be conducted. However, teachers can give more than the minimum number of tasks depending on the need and time available.
• The performance of students in each task will be assessed on the basis of assessment criteria given.
• The total of marks obtained by each student in the formative tasks will be calculated and reduced to 10 marks. For instance, if three tasks of 5 marks each have been given for FA 1 and a student obtains 3, 3 and 2 in these tasks, the total obtained by the student will be 8 out of 15. The weightage for 10 will be (8 -r 15) x 10 = 5.33 = 5 = Grade C2 (The total will be rounded off to the next whole number if the decimal is 0.5 or more. If less, it will be ignored). Similarly the mark will be calculated for FA2, FA3 and FA4 and the total will yield the marks in formative assessment out of 40% marks for the whole academic session.
